Storage facilities come in a variety of sizes, the trick is to find the one that will hold your belongings. It’s kind of like Goldilocks and the three bears principle, you don’t want one too big, you don’t want one too small, but you want one just right.

At Annacis Lock-Up we offer storage units in sizes that vary from tiny to huge. Sometimes a space can be deceiving and what seems like not enough space will be more than enough with some creative stacking, but sometimes, we don’t realize just how much stuff we have and we’ll need more than we think. Check availability: Reserve a Self Storage Unit.

What size storage unit do I need

To make it easier to help you decide what size of storage unit you need, we’ve come up with this reference guide to find what size of storage unit will work for you and your possessions.

Tiny storage unit — 5×5

25 square feet of space is not a lot of space, but might suit your needs if you have just a few things to store, maybe it’s your gardening tools in the off season or a stack of miscellaneous boxes from your office that contain those hard to part with bills from four years ago (we all do it!). Think of the tiny storage unit like a walk in closet to consider if it will be right for you.

Small storage unit — 5×10

With a 50 square foot space, you will likely be able to pack up an entire room, whether it’s an office or a mid-sized bedroom. Perhaps you are doing renovations and need to clear the furniture out of a room but don’t want it creating chaos in another room, then this size might be right for you. Don’t forget, sometimes furniture can fit together in creative ways and you’ll be able to store more in a small space than you think.

Medium storage unit — 10×10

The medium sized storage unit offers 100 square feet of space, usually enough to hold a small apartment. Two bedrooms and a living room, with a couple boxes for kitchen stuff should fit comfortably in the medium sized storage unit.

Large storage unit — 10×15

With 150 square feet of storage, you should be able to pack in about three bedrooms worth of stuff. The large storage unit is also ideal if you have larger furniture like a king sized bed, a large sectional couch or a long kitchen table.

Gigantic storage unit — 10×30

If you are storing all the contents of a large house, including furniture, outdoor tools and equipment (within reason, of course), multiple beds, tables, couches and lots of boxes, you might need all 300 square feet that our gigantic storage unit has to offer.

No matter what your storage needs are, at Annacis Lock-Up, we’ve got you covered! Please feel free to give us a call or write to us and we will be able to help you find what you need.
